Iron oxide nanoparticles for plant nutrition? A preliminary Mössbauer study
Hyperfine Interactions 237 (2016) 127.

The magnetic state, structure, composition and morphology of nanoparticles may have an impact on the way their interact with plants. In order to properly assess the details of this interaction via controlled plant growth experiments, it is inevitable that following their preparation the nanoparticles get characterized for their physical and chemical properties. In this work we introduce our first such results regarding ferric-oxide-hydroxide and magnetite nanoparticles that are promising candidates for being used in the metal biofortification of plants.
